    Typical Uses

    Applications include emergency broadcasts, large scale paging and communication between multiple locations.  For example, a college campus or civil/municipal setting where there are multiple buildings that all need to receive the same information. 

    The following are real-life applications:

    • Notifications:  Tell a coworker he/she has a call or visitor.  Also, send a company wide message about the website being down.
    • Selective communications: Organize groups of phones, speakers and PCs to send different messages to different groups.
    • Organizational notices: The CEO has the ability to send a message company wide however the Marketing Director can only send messages to the Marketing Department.
    • Zone paging:  Page all of the Branch Managers company wide.
    • Education:  Condense all paging, bells and clocks to a single server at the district office and IP Speakers at the schools.
